Starfire Golf Club

Traditional Golf In Scottsdale

If you favor a traditional golf experience in the desert this is the place. Lakes, tree lined fairways and gently rolling terrain define a Scottsdale course that has been a local favorite since 1988. Conveniently located in north central Scottsdale, Starfire Golf Club offers beautiful views of the McDowell Mountains and features some surprisingly difficult holes. As you navigate through 27 holes of Arnold Palmer designed golf you are treated to mature eucalyptus, pine and cottonwood trees, The King, Hawk and Squire nines all have their distinctive features with bunkers and water hazards coming into play on many holes.

Golf in the Heart of Scottsdale

On the surface it looks like a course there for the taking, but this golfer has been bitten by it many times. While it may not provide the same kind of challenges you see with a desert style, target course, this course will challenge you. There are some really tough holes on this layout that will hold the interest of most skill levels and what it lacks in drama is made up by conditioning and smooth putting surfaces. Their location in the middle of Scottsdale is convenient to the best hotels and resorts in town and if you are trying to knock the cobwebs off your clubs after a long lay-off this is a good place to do it.

I have had a lot of fun at this facility over the years and it is a pleasant place to play. The setting is serene and relaxing and there is always shade to be found in this park-like setting. The price is right too.
