Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort

Fairmont Scottsdale PrincessHaving stayed at this property many times in the past I can tell you from experience that it's one of the most beautiful resorts in Scottsdale. After you get your bearings as to where everything is you will have more fun exploring the pools, fountains and comfortable nooks that make up the grounds. It's been here awhile, completed in 1987, has had several owners, Fairmont being the latest. Under their management the resort has done very well and is considered to be one of the best places to stay in North Scottsdale. They offer very competitive off-season rates and locals come here for weekend getaways and special events. Their 4th of July fireworks display is second to none!

Featuring one of the best Spa's in North America (by Conde Nast Traveler) three award-winning restaurants, excellent and spacious meeting facilities and situated next to the TPC of Scottsdale, Home of the FBR Open – the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is truly a great desert resort experience.

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess features 649 richly furnished guest rooms, with two Presidential Suites, 69 new Fairmont Gold rooms and suites, and 119 casitas (little houses). All guest rooms have well-defined living and work areas, terraces, wet bars, refreshment centers and oversized luxury bathrooms. All guest rooms feature the subtle undertones, earthy accents and patterns of the southwest, blending style and comfort into one soothing and comfortable atmosphere.

Fairmont Scottsdale PrincessWhat I like most about the Princess is that it could be sold-out and you would still feel almost as if you were there by yourself. Unlike some other hotels and resorts with conference facilities, those at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess are situated such that the leisure guest seldom is in contact with the corporate meeting attendee. The grounds are lush with spectacular cactus arrangements and very quiet. The lights at night give it a surreal glow and you definitely know you are in another world.

The hotel sits virtually in the shadow of the rugged terrain of the McDowell Mountains to the east, while the stark contrasts of the Sonoran Desert stretches out to the north. With sparse, yet distinct, wildlife and vegetation, you can definitely get a true flavor and feel of a unique desert landscape.
