Why Scottsdale Needs A Consumer Golf Advocate
October 31, 2007Over the years as technology improved and the Internet progressed into the mainstream packagers soon found that the customer's greatest leverage with them was that they could surf the net, make comparisons, and book their vacation directly with a course, hotel or other packager, if they found a better deal - and back then they could easily find better deals because the technology was new (and half the time couldn't be trusted to operate as advertised)
Along came the future giants of wholesaling, Expedia, Hotwire, Hotels.com, Orbitz and Trip Advisor who were able to convince (bully) the hotels in giving them huge discounts, thereby throwing their existing partners (who were producing room nights) under the bus. Anyone can move inventory in Peak Season, it's how you perform the rest of the year that makes you a valuable wholesaler/packager. Finally, hotels like Hilton and Marriott said enough is enough, took a hard line against all the pricing madness and fixed most of what was wrong. Nowadays, if you are a true wholesaler, you shouldn't be undersold by a hotel website. Rest assured that when you work with a Scottsdale Greens approved golf packager that you are getting the best price and service that's out there. If, after contacting the packager that you worked with and getting no resolution from them, you feel that you did not receive the service you were told to expect or felt that you were mis-led in any way, Scottsdale Greens will act as a "Consumer Golf Advocate" and investigate on your behalf to get to the bottom of the issue. Our Scottsdale packagers can't improve their service levels if they don't get feedback from you, the customer. Unlike that restaurant you went to the other night where there was a problem with the food or service, they do care about fixing problems. We can't promise that your issue will be resolved in your favor but we will investigate all complaints and respond in a timely manner.
